Daniel Lee “Sonny” Blevins

Daniel Lee “Sonny” Blevins, age 59, of Newark, DE, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020.
Born in Wilmington, DE on August 21, 1960, he was a son of the late William Buckman and Bertha Blevins. Sonny was a kindhearted individual who treated everyone with respect. He was a simple man, money and possessions were not important to him. Sonny’s most important possessions were his family, whom he deeply cherished. He was a wonderful grandfather who dearly loved his babies.
In addition to his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by his brother, William Blevins. He is survived by his children, Danny Kreiser (Irene), Jonathan Kreiser, Brian Kreiser and Nina Proffitt (Damen); siblings, Bonnie Blevins, Katherine Blevins, Leon Blevins and Jerry Grant; and 4 grandchildren.
All services will be held privately.

I only knew Sonny from my friendship with Jerry but I remember Sonny as a kind entertaining individual. I am sure that everyone will miss him. My condolences to your family.

I remember when I first met sonny. Was about 7 years old and he would always watch Breanna,Kira and I. All the memories he gave to us, always walked us to our bus stop. Walked us to the park and always helped us when we were cooking and everything. It breaks my heart knowing he’s no longer with us. 12 years of friendship I will always cherish. I’m glad that he has his wings now and is flying and watching over us. I love you and and you will forever be in our hearts
