David Edward Miller

Mr. David Edward Miller, known with great affection as “the Gentle Giant,” age 26, of Selbyville, DE, formerly of Brookside in Newark, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013.
Born in Newark on October 27, 1986, David was a graduate of Newark High School. He was happily employed with the Salvation Army for many years.
A gifted artist, David was well-known for his creative designs of unique animated characters. His active imagination, positive outlook on life, and compassionate nature won him many lasting and close friends over the years. He will be deeply missed by the many people who loved him.
David was preceded in death by his father, Laurence B. “Larry” Miller. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Bland Miller; brother, Laurence B. Miller, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Townsend, and brother, John W. Miller of Newark.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, where visitation will begin at 2 pm.
