David H. Wilson

Mr. David H. Wilson, age 56, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.
Born on May 12, 1955, Dave grew up in New Castle. He was an Eagle Scout and attended William Penn High School, Wilmington College, and Salem County Community College. He retired from DuPont Chambers Works after a 35-year career.
Dave loved spending time on his boat, fishing and crabbing with his friends and family. In earlier years, he enjoyed playing his guitar and performing locally in bands. He felt a spiritual connection to St. Francis and loved all animals; no one will ever forget the lives he saved by being in the right place at the right time, several times.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean, his father, Clyde, and his brother, Steve. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Helen, his son, Chuck, his sister, Gini, his two puppies, Maggie and Zack, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A special thanks goes out to Dave’s “other family”–all the friends with whom he worked at DuPont who remained steadfast and supported him through his illness.
In honor of Dave’s last wishes, his services will be held privately.
