David M. Torterotot
Born March 4, 1962
David M. Torterotot, age 52, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014.
Born in Wilmington, Delaware on March 4, 1962, David was a son of Herbert A. Torterotot Sr. and the late Carolyn J. Swain Torterotot. He made his career as a yardman and foreman with Local No. 326, retiring in January after many years of dedicated service.
David was a life member of the Minquadale Volunteer Fire Company. He enjoyed all kinds of racing and attending Phillies games. David had a deep appreciation for life and especially liked traveling and camping. He was a wonderful grandfather and loved spending time with his family, especially his Road Dog, Lexi.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn. In addition to his father, Herbert, Sr., he is survived by his beloved wife of 9 years, Lynsey Rebecca Huie Torterotot; children, Matthew Boggs, Theresa Rice, Christina Torterotot, Amber Torterotot and Kimberly Kimbers’ Torterotot; brother, Herbert Torterotot, Jr.; sisters, Diane T. Torterotot and Sharon L. Torterotot; and 9 grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Friday evening, October 17, 2014 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle. A second visitation will be held from 9 am until 10 am on Saturday morning, October 18, 2014 at the funeral home, where a funeral service will follow at 10 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David’s name may be made to the Minquadale Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 647, Manor Branch, New Castle, DE 19720.

I am sorry for your loss, you are in my thoughts and prayers. When I met Dave 6 years ago he welcomed me into the family with opened arms. Every year we would visit Dave at Christmas time bring a turkey and have a Thanksgiving/ Christmas dinner with him I am going to truly miss that time with him.
