Debra A. Lopez, age 66, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on May 25, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Vesta (McGaha) DiGiacomo. Debra worked as a school bus driver for Red Clay School District as well as Boulden Buses, Inc.

In her spare time, Debra enjoyed watching My Lottery Dream Home or the Golden Girls. She also enjoyed trying her luck at scratch off lottery tickets. Above all, Debra loved her family and cherished her time spent with them.

In addition to her mother, Debra was preceded in death by her husband, Luis A. Lopez; stepfather, Dominic DiGiacomo; and siblings, Susan Parry and John DiGiacomo. She is survived by her children, Luis A. Jordan and Jessica C. Jordan (William Sturdivant); siblings, Sam “Rocky” Sulpizio, and Larry Sargent, Jr.; and grandchildren, Vinny, Ava, Anthony, Harlee, and Levi.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11 am. Inurnment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Debra’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice.
