Devon’Jare (DJ) Grant
September 23, 1997 - December 9, 2022
Devon’Jare (DJ) Grant, age 25, of Perkasie, PA passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022.
Born in Baltimore, MD on September 23, 1997, he was the son of David L. and Tashonia S. (Dennison) Grant. Honored to serve his country, DJ was currently serving in the Air Force Reserves, where he was a proud “Dirt Boy”.
DJ had a passion for everything baseball. He would take his “girls” to the park for practice, throw the ball around outside, and never missed their games. He loved fishing, singing, dancing, gaming, billiards and visiting the beach. During the summer you could catch him spending his time doing crazy jumps in the pool with his “girls”, or pretending to know how to skim board at the beach. During the winter, you could find DJ putting down an abundant amount of food around the holidays, going to the bounce house with his “girls”, and snuggling up on the couch watching movies.
To say Devon’Jare was an amazing man, husband, step father, brother, son, would be an understatement. He had a passion for life and love that was completely unmatched. The amount of love and light that went out the day he went to be with God will truly be felt for the rest of our lives. We will miss his random dancing in the kitchen, his shower music concerts, his laugh, his own way of showing how he loved you, the way he made everyone feel included & accepted and his ridiculously charming smile. He was beautiful, he was amazing and he was good.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eugene Grant. In addition to his parents, DJ will be truly missed and forever remembered by his loving wife; Brooke A. (Stichter) Grant; sisters, Trinitee Grant, Treasure Grant, and Carolyn Nicole; aunts, Chyna and Eden Giles; grandmothers, Priscilla Giles and Nancy Spies; stepdaughters, Bria, Brayla, and Brielle Jones; and numerous extended family members and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 pm until 2 pm on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 E. Main Street, Middletown, DE where a memorial service will begin at 2 pm. Interment will be held privately.

Rest in peace brother. I only knew you for just shy of 2 years but when I first met you in DEP (delayed entry program) we clicked and had lots of fun. I’ll never forget our “what’s ya name?!” Joke when running on the track every UTA. I’m happy I went to the 46 APS Christmas party and got to hang with you a little bit. You will forever be a part of team Dover and the United States Air Force. Fly high brother. Brooke, never be afraid to reach out if you need anything even though I’m quite far away. Stay close and stay strong. We all have your back.

I send my deepest condolences to the Grant family. I have no words to express my sadness. My prayers are forever with the Grant family. The world has lost a great young man. He was kind, loving, respectful and hard working. He understood family love and loyalty, at such a young age. And he worked and aspired to be great. I have such love and respect for the man that he was. May God grant the family and us all comfort and peace, in this difficult time of grief.
