Diane Lynn Krygier - Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes & Crematory

Diane Lynn Krygier

Diane Lynn Krygier, age 60, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, while surrounded by her large, loving family, after a long battle against cancer.

Diane was born in Delaware and lived in Rambleton Acres her entire life. Diane never stopped fighting and had a strong will to live. At her core family was everything. Although she may be gone, she did not lose her fight, her determination gave her many more years with the people she loved the most. Diane’s professional passion was hair and beauty, proudly owning and operating her own salon in Rambleton Acres Shopping Center for twenty years. Diane’s spirit shined at work the same way it did at home, and her customers quickly became family.

Diane and Roger were married for 42 years, two profound soul mates, and just like the vows profess, they created a large, happy, vibrant family through ‘good times and bad, and in sickness and in health’. Roger was a devoted husband, committed to Diane through many tribulations. But the pains of her illness did not stop them from living life the to the fullest. Spreading love to all who crossed their path, sharing kindness to those who needed it, and steadily staying the strong, solid heartbeat at the center of their extensive family. Diane is remembered fondly by spending time with her grandkids around her inground pool, the annual family beach trip, enjoying margaritas, shopping, phone calls, and a special penchant to Orange Crush soda and Slurpees. But mostly she will be remembered for making the people around her feel special. A gift that is bestowed on way too few.

A special recognition to Dr. Nicholas Biasotto who provided top notch care to Diane through her struggles, trials and triumphs for over three decades. His professional dedication, compassion, and thoughtfulness went above and beyond. The family feels very blessed to have had him care for Diane over the many challenging years.

Diane was preceded in death by her father, Winifred “Bud” Bush; and sister, Debra Bush. She is survived by her husband, Roger Krygier; four daughters, Tarra Anderson (Anthony, Jr.), Tonya Boyd (Patrick), Tammy Paoletti (Anthony) and Tina Krygier (Geoffrey Ubel); mother, Alice M. Bush; sister, Dawn Yilmaz (Mahmut); brother, Bud Bush (Shea); a whooping 12 grandchildren, Destany, Daija, Patrick, Brittney, Shaelyn, RJ, Anthony, AJ, Tony, Austin, Mason and Mya; and one grandson and one great grandbaby on the way.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 am until 11 am on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE. Face coverings will be required for all those in attendance not immunized with the COVID-19 vaccine per the CDC and Governor of Delaware.
