Diane Marie Grant, age 67, of Newark, DE, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026.

Born in Wilmington, DE on June 29, 1958. Diane graduated from William Penn High School in 1976. She proudly served her country from June 1984 – June 1990, she was a specialist supply sergeant in the U.S. Army motor pool. She worked for the past 27 years as a property manager with Arbor Management at various properties, most recent being the Villas at Whitehall where she made many lifelong friendships.

She loved reading, shopping (especially on Amazon), country music, jigsaw puzzles and word search puzzles. Her favorite tv show was Survivor. She enjoyed the simple things in life, a bath, a good book & a tablet for her games. Most of all she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Diane was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenny Shelby and Eddie Shelby; and her stepfather Lawrence Davis Sr., who raised her. She is survived by her daughter, Colleen Shelby; son, Jaime Dominguez (Kelsey); mother, Theresa Davis; brother, Larry Davis, Jr. (Michelle); grandchildren, Victoria Saxton (Michelle), Carter Dominguez-Godwin; nephew, Bud; nieces, Lauryn and Rachel; and her 4 legged best friend and companion, Casey.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 pm until 2:30 pm on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 2:30 pm. Interment will be held privately in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery with military honors.
