Douglas M. Westwood Jr.

Douglas M. Westwood Jr., 59, of Monroeville, NJ, passed away on December 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Douglas was the cherished son of Douglas M. Westwood Sr. and the late Marilou W. Westwood. He shared a devoted and loving partnership of 30 years with Tricia Hunt. He is also survived by his sisters Deborahann Westwood, Diana Gotthold (Matthew), and Dorothea Connolly (James); nieces Victoria Kostur (Christopher) and Christina Gotthold (Steven); and nephew Justin Douglas Gotthold as well as many extended family members.

He was raised in Merchantville, NJ, attended Merchantville Elementary School, and Pennsauken High School.  Doug was an avid sportsman and had a passion for hunting that took him on adventures to Maine, Texas and Canada. He was skilled in automotive repair and restoration; a talent that brought him joy throughout his life. Known for his warm personality, generosity and ability to connect with people from all walks of life, Doug developed many lasting friendships and enjoyed a diverse group of long-time friends.

He dedicated 30 years of service to Holt Cargo Systems before retiring. After settling in Monroeville with Tricia, Doug became an integral part of the community, forming lasting friendships and always extending a helping hand to those in need.

A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at a later date to honor his memory and the impact he had on those who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family and wide circle of friends.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.
