Douglas W. “Doug” Chapman, age 89, of Carneys Point, NJ, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022.

Born in Hartford, WV on November 12, 1933, he was a son of the late Albert and Lena (Thiess) Chapman. Doug proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He spent many years working in production at Red Bird Egg Farm.

Doug enjoyed spending his spare time on the green playing golf. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and cherished the memories he made with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Chapman (Ruthann); siblings, Nondas Hendricks, Alberta Wagner, and Samuel Chapman. He is survived by his loving wife, Lourdes (Juarez) Chapman; children, Michael Chapman of Pilesgrove, NJ, Kimberly Hogate (Jerry) of New Castle, and Christopher Chapman of Middletown; step daughters, Rachael Chapman of Pennsville, NJ, Leah Ortiz (Jose), and Mirsha Lape (William), both of Carneys Point, NJ; siblings, Ellen Goett, Peggy Droddy, Wayne Chapman, Mary Gygax, and Joseph Chapman; grandchildren, Kenneth Chapman, Aubrey Chapman, Michele Jackson, Jerry Hogate II, Amanda Copper, Kristy Daye, Katie Chapman, Nicole Ortiz, Kevin Retama, Ariana Lape, and Andrew Lape; and 12 great-grandchildren.

All services will be held privately.
