Mrs. Dureen A. Burris, age 81, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, on January 17, 1930, Mrs. Burris was the daughter of the late Thomas Riley and Helen Donnelly. She was employed as a waitress at the former Chestnut Street Cafe in Wilmington until her retirement and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna J. Grubb. She is survived by her son, James W. Devine, Jr. of New Castle, DE; grandchildren, Jason Grubb and Jaime Faber (Christopher); great grandchildren, Kayla Faber and Autumn Medley; and companion, Edwin Dzielak of Wilmington.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, April 1st, in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where visitation will begin at 1 pm. Interment will follow in the adjoining memorial park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
