Eileen Kay Gorecki

Eileen Kay Gorecki, age 57, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018.
Born in Wilmington, DE on December 23, 1960, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Claris (Reedy) Gravely. She worked in healthcare at Christiana Hospital as a registered nurse where she dedicated 37 years of compassionate care, retiring in July, 2017.
She loved to visit the beach, especially with her family and friends. Eileen was a dear friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Eileen is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, John Adam Gorecki, Sr.; children, Kristin Travers (Jonathan), Matthew C. Gorecki and John A. Gorecki, Jr. (Sarah); sister, Linda Nemes (Edward); father-in-law, John Gorecki; and her faithful four-legged companion, Nimbus.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Entombment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, 19720.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eileen’s name to Delaware Humane Society, 701 A St, Wilmington, DE 19801.
