Eleanor Tietjen

April 22, 1927 - January 4, 2020

           Eleanor Tietjen, age 92, of Newark, DE, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020.

          Born in Brooklyn, NY on April 22, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Alesandro and Marie DeCielo.  Eleanor dedicated her life as a talented and loving homemaker.  Her fondest memories were made with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

          In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her son, Joseph.  She is survived by her children, Marie A. McQueen of Mastic, NY, Eleanor Vigliotta (Robert) of Newark and James L. Tietjen (Theresa) of Center Moriches, NY; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

          A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 2:30 pm.  Interment will be held privately.
