Elena J. Kirk

Elena J. Kirk, age 64, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 3, 2022.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on November 16, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Ned and Julia (Winewski) Taylor. Elena worked as a real estate agent for Exit Realty. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, the beach, and selling houses. Elena loved her puppies and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Elena was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stanley Kirk; sister, Jenny Cloud; and brother, George Williams. She is survived by her son, Charles Hodgson (Jennifer); sisters, Sharron Harkins (Steve) and Julia Martin; sisters-in-law, Patricia Nally and Nancy Bentley; caregiver, Amanda Perdue; nephews, Red Miller and Joseph Meritt; and grandchildren, Emma Hodgson, Olivia Hodgson, Autumn Hodgson, and Charles J. Hodgson.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12 pm until 1 pm on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a memorial service will be held at 1 pm. Interment will be held privately.
