Ella Mae (Thompson) Young, known as Ella or Gran-Gran, age 96, was born on December 8, 1925 and passed away peacefully on July 23, 2022 after a short illness. Ella grew up in Burlington New Jersey, the only girl out of a family of eight brothers.
Ella lived most of her life in Burlington City, NJ, where she raised her family and was well known and loved by others. In March 1988, she moved to Tinton Falls, NJ where she lived in a senior citizens complex for many years. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, going on outings, shopping trips, and playing games of bingo. There, she enjoyed dining, watching tv, and other various outings and activities. She loved doing arts and crafts and of course playing bingo. Every Sunday you could find her dressed in black and white attending one of the many church services. Her life was full of friends and visits from her family. She was greatly admired by everyone she came in contact with.
