Ellen M. Perry

Ellen M. Perry, age 92, formerly of Newtown, PA, passed away peacefully in the care of her family on Friday, July 25, 2025.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on, April 14, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ann (Pocius) Bennett.
Ellen was a kind and gentle soul whose life was marked by creativity, compassion, and generosity. A true lover of the arts, she expressed herself through her many artistic talents. Ellen always remembered special occasions with typewritten notes and cards. She loved doing puzzles, watching Jeopardy and listening to old records. Her love for animals was evident in the way she cared for her four beloved cats throughout the years, who brought her great joy and companionship.
A survivor of two battles with breast cancer, Ellen’s strength, perseverance and quiet determination was evident. Ellen’s selflessness was a constant presence in the lives of those around her. She was always thinking of others, putting their needs before her own, and offering comfort and support whenever it was needed. Above all, Ellen cherished her family deeply. Her love and devotion were unwavering, and she created a warm, welcoming space where everyone felt at home.
In addition to her husband, Elmer M. Perry, Ellen was preceded in death by her children, Helen, Patricia, and James Perry, and her grandson, Christopher Gillespie. She will be dearly missed by her children, Anne Giles (Bill), Thomas Perry (Patricia Gandura) and Margaret Davis (Timothy); her daughter-in-law, Lisa Perry; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer, Cara, Sean, Laurie, Julia, and Matthew; 8 great grandchildren, Kayla, Andrew, Abigail, Alexander, Isabelle, Aiden, TJ, and Elijah; and 3 great great grandchildren, Ava, Jordynn, and Jrue.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 am until 10:30 am on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at St. Kevin Church, 200 West Sproul Road, Springfield, PA, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 Sproul Road, Springfield, PA.

It was a pleasure to know Ellen. She was a sweet woman and a wonderful neighbor. She was very well liked on Fountain Farm Lane.
