Ellen M. Robinson

Ellen M. Robinson, age 75, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.

Born in Shamokin, PA on July 11, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Helen (Cuney) Sobotor. Ellen was a graduate of Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, PA. She married her husband, Gerald on April 24, 1970. Ellen made her career as a teacher of French and later English as a second language for many years. She later transitioned to working as an insurance adjuster prior to retiring in 2018.

A two-time breast cancer survivor, Ellen also volunteered her time to the American Cancer Society to counsel other women through their own battles with breast cancer. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and her pets, and cherished her time with her grandchildren.

Ellen is survived by her husband, Gerald W. “Peck” Robinson, Jr.; children, Tara Rudman (Mike) of New Castle, and Kristyn Walko (Drew) of Clementon, NJ; and two grandsons.

In keeping with Ellen’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Her ashes will be interred in Ocracoke, NC at a later date.
