Elva Mae (Parker) Stoner

Elva Mae (Parker) Stoner, age 89, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 14, 2016.
Born in Wilmington, Delaware on June 8, 1927, Elva was the daughter of the late Elijah B. and Bessie Mae (Dickerson) Parker. She will always be remembered for her strength and love for her family.
In addition to her parents, Elva was preceded in death by her step-mother, Margaret Parker, her beloved husband and best friend of 64 years, Walter L. Stoner, Jr.; and son-in-law, Frank Racz. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Racz, Denise Waters (Robert), and Elaine Spiezio (Anthony); son, Ronald Stoner (Danielle); 12 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
Services and burial will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 308, Wilmington, DE 19899.

I’ve known you all of my 83 rears. I remember you as a young girl when you baby sat for my brothers and me. I remember you on the farm in Dover. I didn’t see much of you during my adult years except for too many funerals and a few weddings. I was glad that I had the opportunity to see you, at another funeral, a couple of years ago. Loved you always. Vaya con DIOS.
