A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 pm until 2 pm on Sunday, August 21, 20212, at Newark United Methodist Church, 69 East Main Street, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 2 pm. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.

  • Dear Sue and Billy,

Scott and I are so keeping you in hearts and sending prayers. The loss of a child, no matter how old, is so terrible that we don’t even give parents a name for like widow or widower. Our prayer for you is finding peace after losing Ernie.

    Love,
    Scott and Debbi

  • Dear family of Ernie:
Please accept our deepest sympathy in the loss of our beloved Ernie. I am on the trustees of Newark United Methodist Church and my husband and I attend the 11 o’clock worship service which Ernie also attended. No matter when you saw him, whether at church service or just around the church when popping in to do a task, his bright smile and pleasant demeanor made Ernie a joy to be around. He always made it a point to ask how you were doing rather than focus on himself. He was a dear friend and I shall miss him greatly. He has left a hole in my heart with his loss but I shall fill it with the many positive memories that I have of him.
Please know that your family is in our thoughts, our hearts and our prayers.
    Love in Christ
