Ethel I. Bressler

Ethel I. Bressler, age 89, of Newark, Delaware, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017.

Ethel was born in Hegins, PA on October 4, 1928, and was the daughter of the late John Koons and Margaret (Osmon) Koons.  She dedicated her life to her family as a talented homemaker.  Ethel was a longtime member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church.  She was also a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend to many.

In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Earl L. Bressler and daughter, Patricia Popo.  She is survived by her son Kerry L. Bressler (Sharyn); daughter, Wanda Blondin (David); grandchildren, Jeffrey Bressler (Michele), Heather Blythe (John), Cherie Parker (Joseph), Sara Bock (Kevin), Stacy Sargable and David Blondin; greatgrandchildren, Kyle Bressler, Paige Blythe, Megan Blythe, Britney Sargable and Dustin Sargable; and 4 great great grandchildren.

A commital service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at 10 am Delaware Veterens Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ethel’s memory may be made to the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 200 Marrows Road, Newark, DE 19713.
