Fern Mae Bachman

Fern Mae Bachman, age 85, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 6, 2022.

Born in Lebanon, PA, on December 7, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Arthur D. and Kathryn L. (Kohl) Bressler. She made her career as a cafeteria worker for Christina School District. Fern was a member of New Castle Chapter No. 1418 Women of the Moose, where she served as Past Deputy. In her leisure time, Fern enjoyed playing bingo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. “Bill” Bachman. She is survived by her sons, Arthur F. and Karl W. Bachman; and grandsons, William Bachman and Daniel (Analyn) Bachman.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 6:30 pm. A committal service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
