Florence O. Bunting

Mrs. Florence O. Bunting, known fondly as “Flo,” age 96, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013.
A native Delawarean, Mrs. Bunting was born in Wilmington on November 1, 1916, daughter of the late James Odgers and Carrie Wright Odgers. She was a talented homemaker throughout her life and had also been employed with the former Food Fair Market in Wilmington in the 1960s.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Edward Bunting; son, James Thomas; siblings, Anna Atkinson, William Odgers, Marion Shimer, Catherine Denning, and Louise Ellis; and granddaughter, Deidra Nardo. She is survived by her stepson, Wayne E. Bunting and his wife Nancy of Wilmington; daughter-in-law, Lois Thomas of Wilmington; sister, Olive Poppe of Delaware City; grandchildren, Karen Johnson, Kevin Thomas, Amy Bunting, Mark Bunting, and Julia Bunting; eight great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, where visitation will begin at 9:30 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle.
