Frances M. “Fran” (DeRocili) Mangini, age 72, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

Born in Wilmington, DE on December 29, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Assunta (Pannacione) DeRocili. Fran worked as an office manager at DuPont Co.

Fran loved nothing more than to cook and bake for her friends and family, she was always at your door with a home cooked meal and dessert whenever you needed it. When she wasn’t in the kitchen, she could often be found crocheting or gardening. Fran was always on the move and rarely took a break. Above all, she cherished her family and the memories she made with them.

In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas DeRocili; and granddaughter, Kai Sweeny. She is survived by her children, Michael Sweeny of Greenville and Matthew Sweeny (Andrea) of Newark; siblings, Kathy Littell (Larry) and Anthony DeRocili (Brenda), both of Dover; grandchildren, Emily, Jake, Aiden, and Mikayla; niece, Stephanie DeRocili; and great-niece, Sanai DeRocili.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 pm until 2 pm on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 2 pm. Inurnment will be held privately.
