Francisco Vasquez

Francisco Vasquez, age 94, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 22, 2022. Francisco immigrated from Spain in 1945. He was a self-employed contractor retiring in 1992. Francisco enjoyed playing cards, going on long walks, and keeping busy with home improvement projects. Most of all, he cherished his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Francisco was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Julia Alvarez Vasquez; his parents, Delmiro Vazquez and Celsa Canellas; and siblings, Carmen Vazquez Lopez, Celso Vazquez, and Manuel Vazquez. He is survived by his 3 loving children, Julia V. Tindall (David), Mercedes Culler (Donnie), and Frank Vasquez; grandchildren, Morgan Culler, Alex Tindall, Nina Tindall, and Adrianna Vasquez; and siblings, Ramon Vazquez, Maria Vazquez Mangiola, Saladina Vazquez Marquina, and Alfredo Vazquez.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 10 am until 11 am at St. Margaret of Scotland R.C. Church, 2431 Frazer Road, Newark, DE, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am. Entombment will be held privately.
