Frank A. Jezyk - Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes & Crematory

Frank A. Jezyk

January 7, 1941 - December 11, 2024

Frank A. Jezyk, age 83, of Townsend, DE, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.

Born in Pike Creek, DE on January 7, 1941, he was a son of the late Leo and Dorothy (Aiken) Jezyk. Frank worked at DuPont Co. as a lab technician for 30 years until his retirement.

Frank was a longtime resident of Townsend where he had his own farm that he treasured dearly.  Frank loved to live off the land as much as possible, and at this time of year the farm was a gathering place for family and friends to hunt and feast. As time went on, Frank wished to remain on the farm, and due to his loving family, good friends and close companion, Janice Starkey, he was able to live out his wishes. An able volunteer, helping hand and good steward of the community, he was an active member of Ducks Unlimited and was very involved with Odd Fellows in Centerville. Frank was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church where he grew up going to church. Most of all, he cherished his family. Frank and his wife, Donna, were huge supporters of their nieces and nephews despite not having any children of their own, he set an example through actions not words. He will always be remembered by those who loved him most as a true friend, confidant, and mentor.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Leah (Brenegan) Jezyk; sister, Helen Lamiet; and nephew, Valentino Troiani. He is survived by his brother, Albert L. Jezyk of Landenberg, PA; nieces and nephews, Joyce Troiani of Chesapeake City, MD, Michael Troiani of Elk Mills, MD, Albert Jezyk, Jr. of Oxford, PA, Laura Jezyk-Geiman of Landenberg, PA, and Sharlyn Rollins of Chesterfield, VA; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 pm until 3 pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 525 Polly Drummond Hill Road, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 3 pm. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
