Gary was my brother in law, and I forgot about everyone calling him “Slim,” and his belly was actually something I best remember because it was the only thing that could stop his newborn nephew, Patrick from crying. He really loved all of us, and especially the children. He had an unforgettable laugh and a twinkle in his eyes. I know how much he loved Jodi and how happy they were on their wedding day. Sarah and I were both very pregnant at that time. I still remember the rumble of the Harley’s, so to compare that power to the spirit of life, the heartbeat’s a bit louder in the sound. Then the celebration, party and dancing….and I leave you with my best consoling in this hour of grief…Psalms 30 “He turns our mourning into dancing.” Amen
