Mr. George Eugene Hobbs, Sr., age 78, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013.
A native Delawarean, Mr. Hobbs was born in Wilmington on August 10, 1934, son of the late Joseph Hobbs and Verna Baldwin Hobbs. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War, and, in civilian life, made his career with the Teamsters Union.
He is survived by his sons, George Hobbs, Jr. (Mary Faith) of Middletown, and Jason Hobbs (Tracey) of Claymont; brother, Joe Hobbs of Newark; sister, Ethel Romano (Joseph) of Wilmington; and grandchildren, Jules Hobbs, Jade Hobbs, and Paige Hobbs.
Services will be held privately.
