George Howard Floyd, age 71, of Orlando, FL, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

Born in Louisa, VA on August 21, 1949, he was a son of the late Howard Franklin and Anna Jane (Colbert) Floyd. George graduated from Christiana High School in 1967. Following graduation, he worked for various companies. In the early 1980’s he moved to Florida. While living in Florida, he went to work as a Cast Member at Walt Disney World, retiring earlier this year. In his spare time, George enjoyed working on cars.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Floyd. He is survived by his siblings, Ann R. Fox (John) and David C. Floyd (Gayle); and niece, Patricia Fox.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.

  • George was a man whom had strong convictions. He hid his feelings, but for those of us who knew him, we knew he had a great heart. It was a privileged to work 8 years with him and I will miss him. Rest in Peace. Roseann

  • I worked with George for 18 years. There were times when I annoyed him cos he really thought I carried my eye glasses instead of wearing them for vanity reasons. I enjoyed George and his life stories. He was a hard working cast member. I’m sorry he didn’t get a chance to enjoy retirement.
