George Peteah

George Peteah, age 94, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.

Born in Moosic, PA, on February 9, 1928, he was a son of the late George and Anna (Gidula) Peteah. George proudly served in the United States Air Force and made his career in the automobile industry as an assembly worker at General Motors.

George took pride in keeping up his yard and enjoyed visiting Atlantic City and Delaware Park Casinos. He loved spending time with his dogs, Abbe and Hanna.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Peteah; and siblings, Nancy Rachko and Michael Peteah. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Joyce Peteah; sister, Anna Zielinski; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, 801 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.
