Mr. George Raymond Parker, age 45, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2012.
A native Delawarean, Mr. Parker was born in Wilmington on January 24, 1967. He made his career as a professional teamster at the Port of Wilmington.
He was a longtime member of the Terrace Athletic Club in New Castle.
He was preceded in death by his father, William X. Parker, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Mossorofo Parker; his daughter, Caitlyn Parker; Caitlyn’s mother, Lori Dawson; Caitlyn’s sisters, Melissa and Jamie; his brothers, William X. “Bill” Parker III and his wife, Dottie, and Michael J. Parker; his nephews, William Parker and Adam Parker and their mother, Barbara Parker; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 8 pm on Friday, July 20th, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, and again from 8:30 am to 9:30 am on Saturday, July 21st, at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 am on Saturday at Holy Spirit R.C. Church, 12 Winder Road, Garfield Park, New Castle. Interment will be in Silverbrook Cemetery, Lancaster Ave. and DuPont Rd., Wilmington.
