George S. Marciniszyn
January 11, 1947 - December 10, 2022
George S. Marciniszyn, age 75, of New Castle, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022.
Born in Wilmington, DE on January 11, 1947, he was a son of the late Peatchrid Marciniszyn and Mary E. (Lutz) Foraker.
George was employed by Gambacorta and then retired from DelDOT in the parts department. He was a member of the Police, Fire, Rod and Gun Club, TAC Athletic Club, and St. Anthony’s Club. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and playing shuffleboard. An avid sports fan, George liked to watch and attend NASCAR races, football, hockey, and baseball.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert “Bobby” Marciniszyn. George will be dearly missed by his wife of 54 years, Deborah (Anton) Marciniszyn; daughter, Michele Grier (Oliver); grandchildren, Jessica, William, and Oliver Grier, Jr.; and great grandson, Dominic Grier.
Services and interment will be held privately.
