Georgia was a teacher and florist.  She taught middle school and high school English in both public and Catholic school systems.  She was the owner and operator of her own flower shop in St. Petersburg, Florida for a number of years.

Furlong; sons, Matthew Patrick Furlong (Leslie Klehammer) and Christopher Sean Furlong (Jodilynn Castagnaro); daughter, Catherine Michele Furlong; brothers, Richard and Mark Canterbury; and grandchildren, Avery Chambers, Isabella Furlong and Rebecca Furlong.
