Gregory D. Caceres, age 29, of Newark, DE, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012.
Greg was born in San Diego, CA, on August 6, 1982. A graduate of Delcastle Vocational-Technical High School, he won first place in graphic design in the VICA state competition and would go on to compete nationally. He was awarded a scholarship to the University of Delaware and later attended the Delaware College of Art and Design, majoring in graphic design. He worked as a mechanic, skilled laborer, and craftsman, and also as an artist.
An avid outdoorsman, he looked forward to hiking (especially with his beloved pet dog, Reese). He had a strong passion for cars and driving.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Joselito Cinco He is survived by his parents, Gloria C. Kelder and Thomas M. Kelder of Newark; brother, Gerry Caceres, and sister-in-law, Lisa, of Newark; nephews, Ryan, Joshua, and Seth; maternal grandmother, Valentina Magnell of Newark; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his faithful companion, Reese.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where visitation will begin at 9:30 am. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
