Gwendolyn T. “Gwen” Lamey Correll

Gwendolyn T. “Gwen” Lamey Correll, age 84, of Bear, DE, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021.

Born in Chester, PA, on March 19, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Inez (Broomall) Titus. Gwen earned her high school diploma in 1955 from Chester High School. She made her career as a clerical professional for DuPont from 1956 until 1962, and Delaware Charter and Trust from 1980 until 2000. Gwen was a member of Parents without Partners and the MOT Senior Center. She enjoyed arts and crafts, watching classic movies, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Gwen was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Paul Lamey and second husband, Richard C. “Dick” Correll. She is survived by her children, Jerry G. Lamey (Debbie) of Hockessin, Craig T. Lamey (Tammie) of Wilmington, Tracy M. Weicker (George) of Bear, and Keith C. Lamey (Debby) of Middletown; sibling, Marie Burdett; grandchildren, Chelsea Kodalen, Brian Weicker, Victoria Crouso, Morgan Lamey, Brendan Lamey, Carter Lamey, Paige Lamey, Elyse Lamey, Griffin Lamey, and Jason Lamey; and great grandchildren, Raelynn Crouso, DMitri Darnell-Weicker, Porter Kodalen, and Kennedy Crouso.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:30 pm until 7 pm on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE. Face masks are required for all in attendance. Service and interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gwen’s memory to Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Center, Second Floor, Newark, DE 19711.
