Herbert Allen Cole

Herbert Allen Cole, age 72, of Newark, DE, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017.
Herbert was born in Wilmington, DE on February 28, 1945, and was a son of the late Charles L. and Susanna L. (Guns) Cole. A skilled carpenter by trade, he worked for 35 years with Carpenters Local 626.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Herbert spent many happy hours outdoors. In his leisure time, he enjoyed watching classic western movies. Herbert was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many. He will be dearly missed.
Herbert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rebecca M. (Tagnon) Cole; daughters, Michele Cox (Tim), Dawn Cole, and Jeni Lewis (Sam); brothers, Charles Cole, Jr. (Barbara) and Arthur Cole (Dixie); grandchildren, Brandy Cox, Aaron Bragg, and Joshua and Delaney Lewis; and great grandson, Jordan Bragg.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE. Interment will follow in Head of Christiana Cemetery, Nottingham Road, Newark, DE.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Herbert’s memory may be made to the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, c/o Christiana Care, P.O. Box 1668, Wilmington, DE 19899.
