Inez Fay Emsley Crystle

Mrs. Inez Fay Emsley Crystle, age 86, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Chester, PA, and Wallingford, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013.
Born in Chester, PA, on May 17, 1927, Mrs. Crystle was the daughter of the late William Emsley and Edith Nancy Webb Emsley. In Chester, she attended the Lincoln School, the Franklin School, and Chester High School, where she graduated in 1945. She would go on to attend the Keystone Secretarial School in Springfield, PA.
Mrs. Crystle was a talented homemaker throughout her life and also a enjoyed a varied professional career. She was employed with Baldwin Locomotive Works in Eddystone, PA; with the Ship and Shore Co. in Upland, PA; and with The Orange Party Tree in Villanova, PA. Active in her community, Mrs. Crystle served as a Girl Scout troop leader for many years. She had also been a member of the Gamma Tau Omega Sorority since 1947. A talented quilter, she was a member of the Undercover Quilters in Brookhaven, PA; the Ladybug Quilters Guild in Newark, DE; and the Ladybug affiliate group, the Bee Buddies.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn C. Leon. She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, William Henry Crystle III; daughter, Cynthia May Crystle of Corona, CA; son-in-law, George Leon of Newark, DE; grandchildren, Kenneth William Buchanan (Kate) and Jenna May Beckman (Jack); step granddaughters, Gwendolyn A. Leon and Caryn J. Jochen; and great grandchildren, Emily Rose Buchanan, William James Buchanan, Jason Russell Beckman, Charles Spencer Buchanan, and Layla May Beckman.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Interment will be held privately.
