Irene M. Nowland, age 104, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 20, 2018.
Born in Chatham, NH on December 30, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Sigmund and Vera (Geroux) Wachsberger.
Irene was employed as an RN. She enjoyed oil painting, organ playing and travelling. Irene was a charter member of Calvary Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Alfred J. Myers and Clifton Raymond Nowland; and son, Alfred Myers. Irene is survived by her son, Glenn A. Myers of Townsend; 4 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
All services will be held privately.

Irene led a full, interesting life. I remember her and Ray when they were members of our miniature club. I also helped her when she moved from Summit into her apartment. . She was such a sweet soul – loved talking with her. Lost touch over the years but I thought of her often. RIP.
