Jack B. Bryan

Mr. Jack B. Bryan, age 85, of Newark, DE, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013.
A native Delawarean, Mr. Bryan was born in Seaford on April 18, 1928, son of the late Joshua Bryan and Linda Morgan Bryan. He made his career with the General Motors Corporation at its former Boxwood Road site, where he retired in 1982 after 32 years of service.
A proud US Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Bryan was a lifetime member of VFW Post 475 in Newark. He greatly enjoyed going fishing and vacationing each year in Florida.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Delores “Dee” Mae Truby Bryan, in 2004, and his son, Steven J. Bryan, in 2010. He is survived his daughters, Sherry L. Stevens of Newark and Janice E. Hanby and husband Robert of Colora, MD; grandchildren, Lisa and husband Dean, Angela, Stacey, Nichole, Danielle, Rachel, Curtis, and Joshua; eleven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, June 19th, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, June 20th, at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle.
