Jacqueline Joines, age 75, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 14, 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on August 4, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Harry Reich and Jenny (Varelli) Edwards. Jacqueline dedicated her life to her family as a loving and talented homemaker.
Jacqeline was the biggest fan to her children and always enjoyed attending their events. Her greatest joy was to have her table surrounded with loved ones for family parties and get togethers. In her leisure time she loved road trips with her husband to Atlantic City and visiting Delaware Park. Above all, she will be remembered as a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by many.
In addition to her parents, Jacqueline was preceded in death by husband, Lee Albert Joines; and brother, Norman Reich. She is survived by her children, Dawn Voll, Kimberly Joines (Jenn), John Joines (Tina) and Jennifer Montoro (Joe); brother, Edward Reich (Florance); sister-in-law, Patricia Reich; and grandchildren, Ralph, Craig, Jon, Johnny, Norman, Cory, Kris and Renata.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church, 345 Bear Christiana Road, Bear, DE. Interment will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jacqueline’s name to the American Heart Association, 200 Continental Drive, Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.
