Mrs. Jacqueline M. Jewells, age 79, of West Ocean City, MD, formerly of Newark, DE, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2012.
Born in Tamaqua, PA, on September 19, 1932, Mrs. Jewells was the daughter of the late Herbert Welsh and Catherine Hoffman Welsh. She was a talented homemaker and devoted her life to caring for her beloved family.
Her husband, Russell W. Jewells, passed away in 2009. She is survived by her son, David R. Jewells (wife Linda A.) of Berlin, MD; grandson, Erik D. Jewells of Berlin, MD; brother, Herbert Welsh of Tamaqua, PA; and sister, Joan Kucharik of Audubon, PA.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where visitation will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
