James C. Wilson

James C. Wilson (Jim), age 61, of New Castle, DE passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012.
Born in Danville, Pennsylvania on November 30, 1950, Jim was the son of Marshall C. Wilson and Letty Goretsky Wilson Stokaylo. He honorably served his country in the US Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. Mr. Wilson worked as a salesman and was previously employed by Sears, and most recently at American Signature Furniture.
An avid outdoorsman, he relished being outdoors and had a great appreciation for nature. Jim was an experienced angler, and especially liked bass fishing. He enjoyed playing tennis, cooking, and being outdoors. Above all else, he was a devoted son, father, brother, and grandfather who adored attending family gatherings and spending time with those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall C. Wilson. Mr. Wilson is survived by his mother, Letty Goretsky Wilson Stokaylo of New Castle; daughter, Jennifer Ann Wilson of Wilmington; son, Jamie A.Wilson of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Susan Wilson Ricksgers of Traverse City, MI and Lois A. Wilson Campbell of Hernando, FL; grandchild, Kendrick C. Butcher of Wilmington, DE; former wife, Pamela A. Wilson; nephews, Tommy and Matthew Ricksgers and Stephen Campbell; and niece, Katie Campbell.
A memorial service will be held at 4 pm on Monday, August 6, 2012, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle where friends may call beginning at 3 pm. Interment will be private.
