James Francis Long

James Francis Long, of Delaware City, DE, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015, after a long battle with cancer.

He leaves behind the love of his life, Suzanne Long. He is survived by his daughters, Laurie Ann Newberry (Ken) and Andrea Jill Long. He cherished his grandsons, Junathan and Jayce Long.

He was a good friend and eager to help everyone. Mr. Long loved hunting and fishing and riding his John Deere tractor.

In keeping with Mr. Long’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.

The family requests that an act of kindness be offered in his remembrance.

  • Dear Susanne and family. You may not remember me, but we lived next door to you a long time ago. I will always remember Jimmy making me omelets with onions and peppers. He was always a kind and gentle man, we loved living next door to two of the nicest people in the world. I hope that God will give you and your family strenghth for the coming time.
