James H. “Rick” Harvey
August 2, 1947 - April 21, 2024
James H. “Rick” Harvey, age 76, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 21, 2024 after a brief illness.
Born in Dover, DE on August 2, 1947, he was a son of the late Henry J. Harvey and Virginia (Buckland) Marconi. Rick worked until his retirement as a computer salesman. During his retirement he enjoyed watching college sports and was an avid NASCAR fan. He looked forward to his outings at Delaware Park and relished his time spent with his loving wife and family.
Rick is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Bernadette (Klonowski) Holcomb; children, Steven Harvey (Susan), Michelle Littleton (Tracy), Christina Harvey (Felipe), Kevin Harvey, Amy Holcomb (Stephan), and Jenni Holcomb; grandchildren, Ashleigh, Brandon, Christopher, Josh, Amanda, Brianna, Andre, Kristi, Davian, Nani, Jaiden, and Amir; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Mark “Mike” Marconi (Barbara); sister, Linda Barlow; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11 am. Inurnment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rick’s name to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, 180 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007, or to Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675 or online by clicking here.
