James Michael “Mike” Iles, age 76, of Newark, DE, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018.

Born in Northumberland, PA on September 3, 1942, he was a son of the late William J. and Marguerite (Michael) Iles, Sr. Mike worked as a shift supervisor with Container Corporation of America in Wilmington, retiring after more than 30 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bill J. Iles, Jr. Mike is survived by his daughters, Angel M. Stapleford (Bruce) and Melinda A. Casula both of New Castle; siblings, Gary L. Iles of Harrington, Donna R. Weibley and Rosemary Houck, both of Newark; grandchildren, Joseph, Jamie, Bruce, Nicholas and Scott; and 4 great grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:30 am until 11 am on Friday, December 28, 2018, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mike’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, #205, New Castle, DE 19720.
