James Quentin Albright
Born April 11, 1944
James Quentin Albright, age 71, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2015 in the Seasons Hospice In-patient Unit at Christiana Hospital, Newark.
Mr. Albright was born the son of Quentin T. Albright and Leona C. Baker Albright, on April 11, 1944 in Harrisburg, PA. He came to live in Newark at a very early age and graduated from Newark High School. Early in this life he worked for W. T. Grant and the Chrysler Corporation. In 1964, he went on to work for Gaylords, retiring in 2001 after 34 years of dedicated service.
Mr. Albright was active in the Mid County and Elizabeth Ann Senior Centers, a charter member of Glasgow Reformed Presbyterian Church and a life member of Aetna, Hose, Hook & Ladder Volunteer Fire Company. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Always being young at heart, Mr. Albright loved visiting Disney World.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Albright was preceded in death by his brother Paul L. Albright and sister, Marilyn R. Albright.
He is survived by his sister, Leola M. Albright; nephews, Chuck Albright (Tiffany) and Paul William Albright all of Newark, and Philip Alexander Albright of WV; 4 great nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
A funeral service will be held at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Newark, 308 Possum Park Road, Newark, where visitation for family and friends will be from 5:30 pm until the time of service. Interment will be at Barrens Cemetery, 232 Kralltown Road, Dillsburg, PA at 11 am on Thursday, August 20, 2015.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Glasgow Reformed Presbyterian Church, 2800 Summit Bridge Road, Bear, DE 19701 or Aetna, Hose, Hook & Ladder, P.O. Box 148, Newark, DE 19715.
