James Ross

Mr. James Ross, age 91, of Middletown, DE, formerly of Chester, PA, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013.
Mr. Ross was born in Stirling, Scotland on January 5, 1922, and immigrated with his family to the United States in 1924. A US Army veteran of World War II, he proudly served his country as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne. In civilian life, he made his career as a millwright for the DuPont Company, where he retired.
He greatly enjoyed cheering each season for his favorite teams, the Phillies and the Eagles.
Mr. Ross was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Traub Ross, his parents, Thomas Ross and Jeanne Rankin Ross, his sister, Alice Reed, and his second wife, Mary Founds Ross. He is survived by his two daughters, Mary Grovola (Michael) and Tracy Ross Bort (Daniel), and his three grandsons, Ronald, Michael, and Daniel Grovola, all of Middletown, DE.
Services and interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
