James Terence “Jim” Laverty
June 21, 1954 - August 29, 2020
James Terence “Jim” Laverty, age 66, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020.
Born in Wilmington, DE on June 21, 1954, he was a son of the late Edward Paul and Eleanor Theresa (Bullock) Laverty. Jim graduated from Salesianum and University of Delaware. He was a lifelong carpenter, working for various construction companies. Jim enjoyed working on all kinds of puzzles and playing golf. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son, Brian Laverty. He is survived by his children, Christopher Laverty, Matthew Laverty, Andrew Laverty and Megan Laverty; brother, Edward Michael Laverty (Sharon); and 6 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

I knew Jimmy quite well back in the day. He was in my class 1-8 at COK and was in Boy Scouts with my brother Michael. He was a great guy always nice to everyone. I have many fond memories of him and our days at COK.
