James Vincent “Jim” McOwen

James Vincent “Jim” McOwen, age 50, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2020.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on August 14, 1969, he was the son of the late James Anthony and Carolyn (Conna) McOwen. Jim graduated from Collingswood High School in New Jersey. Having a passion for computers and information technology, Jim worked as an IT technician his whole working career. For the past 7 years he enjoyed working for JP Morgan Chase.

Jim will always be remembered as a family man who loved spending time with his children.

Jim is survived by his children, Kayla C. McOwen, Emily Kitts McOwen and James McOwen; sister, Natalie Jewell (Chris); life partner, Diana Kitts; and aunt and uncle, Lois and Vincent Duca.

All services will be held privately.

  • James and I were coworkers at Chase at he was always someone I could count on to help whenever needed. He was very knowledgeable and kept us laughing. His passing is such a shock, and has left a huge hole for all of us. May in Rest In Peace and May you all find strength and healing.
