James W. “Mauch” Maucher III

James W. “Mauch” Maucher III, age 57, of Georgetown, DE, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on December 4, 1964, he was the son of James W. Maucher, Sr. and the late Virgina M. “Ginny” (Conlow) Maucher. Mauch was a graduate of Salesianum School and went on to receive his associates degree in fire protection engineering from Delaware Technical Community College. He made his career as a forklift operator at Perdue.

Mauch enjoyed surf fishing and boating. He was a huge Jimmy Buffett fan and loved his trips to Florida. Mauch was known for having a sharp wit and dry sense of humor that entertained friends and family alike.

In addition to his father, Mauch is survived by his children, Zachary J. Maucher, and Emily N. Maucher; sisters, Jane M. D’Angelo, and Bridget Maucher; and 3 nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.
