Jane E. Lawrence

Mrs. Jane E. Lawrence, age 80, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012.
Mrs. Lawrence was born in Lancaster, PA, on December 6, 1931, daughter of the late Earl Fry and Esther Eshlelman Fry. A talented homemaker throughout her life, she had also been employed for a time in food service with Tower Hill School.
Mrs. Lawrence was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church in New Castle and had volunteered with Meals on Wheels for over 30 years.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Emlen R. Lawrence; son, Dennis J. Lawrence and his wife, Cathy; brothers, Earl Fry and James Fry; sisters, Arlene Wolfe and Judy Dagan; granddaughter, Christine Kalix; and great grandchildren, Gabriel Kalix and Alyssa Kalix.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, March 5, 2012, in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in the adjoining memorial park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
